DePrescription
DePrescription: Fact or Fiction
DePrescription: Fact or Fiction is a paradigm shifting book that explores critically missing conversations about prescription medications. Millions of people take medicines every
day. Many are life changing, and some are life saving. Yet as prescriptions accumulate, questions about safety, burden, and long term impact become more important.
This book highlights how patients and clinicians can work together to reduce medication burden through education, deprescribing, and evidence-based lifestyle interventions. It is a guide you will want to share with anyone managing multiple medications and all those who hope to reduce or avoid them.

As a pharmacist and yoga therapist, author Jay Gupta has dedicated many years educating health professionals and communities about deprescribing, medication safety, and integrative health modalities such as therapeutic yoga. His work focuses on helping people understand how medicines work, how to prevent harm, how to partner with your clinician, and create conditions where fewer medicines may be needed.
In DePrescription: Fact or Fiction, Jay bridges the gap between traditional healthcare and self-care. This book is not an invitation to stop taking your medication. It is an empowering masterclass from a trusted professional who wants to share clarity that is often overlooked in busy clinics and pharmacies.
