This one-of-a-kind program gives you a scientific method for delivering tested therapeutic yoga experiences for those with chronic physical and mental health conditions. It places you on the cutting edge of integrative care and therapeutic yoga applications.
You will:
- re-boot your own body and mind
- earn AMA PRA category 1 credits or nursing continuing education credits. Please inquire about the additional continuing education credits that may be available depending upon the course
- bring tools and renewed hope to those who may not have access, or ease of access, to conventional exercise or various movements
- engage in best practices that can be used anytime, even at work, including physical movements, breath-based practices, meditative techniques, yoga nidra, therapeutic use of humor and sound
- learn clinically relevant techniques to better manage anxiety, arthritis, cancer treatment, depression, fatigue, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, hypothyroid, insomnia, pain, substance use disorder, trauma and more
- understand how to provide meaningful yoga experiences to meet the unique needs of persons with the experience of paralysis and other mobility concerns
- review DePrescription case studies and clinical trials which include reduction or elimination of a range of medications
- gain real-time experience in teaching telehealth yoga groups
- be able to share tested practices to make therapeutic lifestyle changes easier
- foster strategic excellence with an integrative approach to healthcare
This 108-hour training is delivered over the course of six fun, educational and positive energy filled modules and a practicum. Modules are typically offered on weekends. Participants may elect to continue their training up to a total of 200-hours in exchange for a period of volunteer service to YogaCaps, Inc.
